Gloria Maria Aurelia Eugenia Manzo Rumazo Kinney, age 89, of Belleview, Florida, passed away on June 9, 2026.
Born on March 27, 1937, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Gloria lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and the simple joys that brought beauty into the lives of those around her. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Roy B. Kinney, with whom she shared many cherished years.
Gloria dedicated much of her professional life to Methodist Hospital of Chicago, Illinois, where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and caring nature.
A woman of deep faith, Gloria was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participated in the Relief Society, where she found friendship, purpose, and opportunities to serve others. She had a special passion for needlepoint and hand quilting, creating beautiful works that reflected both her creativity and the love she poured into everything she did.
Gloria is lovingly survived by her daughter, Sandra Engel Ruiz; her cherished grandchildren, Marisol Engel, Rafael Ruiz, and Julian Ruiz; and one great granddaughter on her way. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Cathy Grimm Denney Cleveland, whose companionship meant so much to her throughout the years. Gloria’s beloved dog, Xena, and her cat, Mimi, were faithful companions who brought her great comfort and joy.
Those who knew Gloria will remember her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, kind heart, and the love she extended so freely to family, friends, and all who crossed her path. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and creativity will continue to live on in the lives she touched.
