The Appleton Museum of Art in Ocala continues to offer free admission for the entire month of July 2026 as part of its Stars, Stripes and Art initiative to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Guests are invited to explore the museum’s permanent collection galleries, special exhibitions, and the interactive Artspace at no cost.
As part of the July programming, the museum will also host a free presentation by Dr. Keri Watson on Saturday, July 25, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The talk, titled Picturing Paradise From John James Audubon to the Florida Highwaymen, will cover the history of Florida’s landscape painters.
