An antique mall that operated in Ocala for well over a decade has announced that it will permanently close its doors at the end of this month.

Diggers Antique Mall will have its final day of operation on Friday, July 31, according to a statement issued by the company.

Located at 1811 North Pine Avenue, the establishment is hosting a storewide liquidation sale in which “everything must go,” including store fixtures and displays.

In an official statement released by the business, ownership thanked the community for its years of patronage while sharing the news of the upcoming closure.

“Diggers Antique Mall has been a part of this community for well over a decade. It is with heavy hearts that we must say we will be closing the store at the end of July,” reads the statement shared in May. “That being said, there will be tons of sales and deals to be had before the last day. Many of the vendors will be participating in these sales.”

According to a flyer distributed by the business, many of the business’s vendors have been offering between 60% and 80% discounts off their merchandise in the closing days.

Diggers Antique Mall will remain open during its regular operating hours through July 31, running Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The business has regularly posted photos of its merchandise as it prepares to empty its shelves and permanently close.

While Diggers Antique Mall is bringing its tenure on North Pine Avenue to a close, many of its longtime vendors will not be going far.
