A Reddick man was arrested recently after being stopped for showing signs of impairment.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy stopped 35-year-old Coty Charles Hall in the 300 block of S.E. Watula Avenue. He was placed under arrest after a DUI investigation and refusing to provide a breath sample, a sheriff’s office report states.
A search of Hall’s vehicle revealed a concealed .40-caliber handgun under the steering wheel, along with cocaine, Xanax and a smoking pipe, the report says.
Hall was then transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, two counts of possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, use or display of a firearm during a felony, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug equipment. He was being held on $15,500 bond and is due in court Sept. 22 at 9 a.m.
