A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday in Pasco County.
Scott R. Kemper, 55, of Spring Hill was riding a 1996 Kawasaki Ninja northbound on Morris Bridge Road approaching Mandrake Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway while traveling at a high speed, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. The motorcycle left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Kemper was thrown from the motorcycle, the report stated.
Kemper was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he later died from injuries suffered in the crash.
He had been wearing a helmet, the report noted.
