Juvenile threatens to kill deputies while being arrested for domestic battery

A Citra juvenile threatened to kill Marion County sheriff’s deputies as he was being arrested early Monday morning for domestic battery.

According to a sheriff’s office report, deputies were attempting to put the juvenile in handcuffs when he tensed his arms and refused to turn around and put his hands behind his back. When a deputy grabbed his left hand, the juvenile snatched his arm away to prevent the handcuffs from being placed around his wrists.

The victim attempted to calm the juvenile down by talking to him. But the juvenile spit in the victim’s face and said, “Y’all gonna have to kill me. I’m not going back to jail.”
Once the juvenile was in handcuffs, he repeatedly threatened to kill the deputies, saying, “Once I get out of these cuffs, I’m grabbing one of y’alls guns and killing both of y’all,” the report states.

The juvenile was transported from the home on U.S. Hwy. 301 in Citra to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center without further issues.
