A Marion Oaks woman called the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Monday after discovering that her $3,000 tennis bracelet was missing.
The woman told a deputy that she believes the bracelet was lost at The Market of Marion, 12888 SE Hwy. 27/441, while she was shopping Saturday at about 2:45 p.m. The woman said the bracelet may have broken off when an elderly man with a walker stumbled and grabbed her arm to brace himself from falling, a report states, adding that the man was accompanied by a female in her thirties.
The woman said she realized the bracelet was missing 15 minutes later when she was in her vehicle. The deputy checked to see if surveillance footage was available of the incident, but there were no cameras on Aisle D where it occurred.
