Donald T. Maloney, 52, passed on July 16, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with liposarcoma. He was born December 2, 1965 in the Bronx, NY to the late Donald F. and Helen Maloney, and moved to Ocala as a child.
Don is survived by his devoted sisters, Monica (Jimmy), Andrea, and Kelly (Kurt), as well as his loving girlfriend, Penny. He was a beloved, fun-loving uncle to two generations of nieces and nephews; and he will be missed by countless friends and colleagues. For nearly two decades, Don was a proud member of ‘Team Cone.’
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, followed at noon by a Celebration of Don’s Life at the Cone Hospitality Room, 1551 NW 44th Ave. in Ocala. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Don’s memory to the Sarcoma Research Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City (866-815-9501).
