A Marion County deputy was called to the Lowe’s Home Improvement store at the On Top of the World retirement community Monday in connection with a theft that took place earlier this month.
When the deputy arrived at the store, located at 7575 SW 90th St., a loss prevention officer said a man had stolen a vacuum cleaner and paint sprayer on July 16. The loss prevention officer said the man was seen on video surveillance entering the store with no shopping cart, then later in another part of the store with a cart containing the paint sprayer. The man then was seen taking the vacuum off a shelf and putting it in his car, a sheriff’s office report states.
The loss prevention officer said the bandit then left the store through the garden center exit without paying for the merchandise.
