Joseph R. Johnson, 88, of Ocala Passed on January 18, 2019.
Joseph retired from the US Air Force after serving 30 years. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant and was a missile instructor. He enjoyed ballroom and square dancing, working on his cars and was an avid reader. Joseph was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Joseph and Rose attended Meadowbrook Church in Ocala.
He is preceded in death by his Parents James E. Johnson and Ella Leatrice Hicks, his wife Rose Marie Johnson, brothers James, Julian, and Ernest Junior Johnson, sister Lucille Thomas. He is survived by his children JoAnn Fox, Kenneth Johnson, stepson Michael J. Kessel, sisters, Frances Eubanks, Ruby Parrish, Betty Jewel Godwin, Lois Barbour, Eunice Beasley, Sarah Fuquay, brothers, John Harold, Wilbert, Thelbert, Everett, Robert, And Raymond Johnson, former ex wife Rosalina M. Johnson, 8 Grandkids, 9 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on January 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at Roberts West Chapel, 6241 SW SR-200, Ocala, FL 34476.
