Law enforcement officers responded to a single-vehicle crash late Thursday afternoon in Marion County.
The incident took place on County Road 42 near SE 265th Avenue, not far from the Ocala Forest Campground. When officers arrived, they found a 1991 white Chevy van that was severely damaged in a rollover crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A man believed to be in his 20s had been driving the van when the accident occurred and he fled the scene, according to the FHP. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
