A scorned Ocala woman upset over a Facebook video of her boyfriend with another woman is behind bars in the Marion County Jail.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to a home on Spring Loop Lane on Thursday afternoon and when he arrived, 27-year-old Aeriel Nicole Lieto told him she was upset about the video she found on her boyfriend’s cell phone. She claimed the two argued and he “pushed her on the bed and pulled her hair,” a sheriff’s office report states.
The boyfriend said he was playing a video game when Lieto approached him and started yelling about the Facebook video that showed him with another woman. He claimed Lieto grabbed him by his hair and in response he pushed her. He said she then slapped him in the face, the report says.
A witness said she was in the residence and heard screaming. She said she saw Lieto snatch her boyfriend’s phone out of his hand and then grab his hair. And she said the boyfriend then pushed Lieto to get her off of him, the report says.
Lieto was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with simple domestic battery. She was being held on $500 bond and is due in court Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
