A handyman found himself behind bars Monday after a nasty battle with his lady friend in his Weirsdale kitchen.
The victim told Marion County sheriff’s deputies on Sunday that she and 35-year-old Lance Michael Register got into an argument that soon turned physical. She claimed that Register, originally of Valdosta, Georgia, shoved her toward the kitchen sink with both of his hands in her upper chest, a sheriff’s office report states, adding that deputies noted red marks on the victim’s chest.
Register had left the residence before deputies arrived but was located on Monday at a friend’s house. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with domestic battery. He was released late Thursday night on $500 bond and is due in court Feb. 13 at 9 a.m.
