Feta Mediterranean Cuisine is one of the many restaurants in downtown Ocala that has carved out a niche for itself with a classic slate of offerings.
Located at 306 SW Broadway Street, the restaurant is sandwiched between T Mobile and Bubble Bar, the boba tea shop that opened last summer. The two-story building is filled with rustic decorations and enough seating to accommodate large crowds.
Although the restaurant does not offer a full bar, they have an extensive list of wines that can be paired with any one of their many dishes.
Feta’s menu features a variety of Mediterranean favorites, including appetizers like dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), hummus, spanakopita (spinach-filled phyllo dough pastry), and saganaki, a Greek classic that involves flambéing Vlahotiri cheese tableside.
Between shrimp risotto, lamb burgers, shanks, and penne ala vodka, the restaurant offers a variety of entrees that can satisfy any pallet. The lamb burger is prepared and served with fresh toppings including feta cheese.
In addition to traditional entrees, the restaurant also specializes in a variety of gourmet pizzas, including greek, margarita, white and classic Americana.
As one would expect, the dessert menu features a few additional classics, including baklava and loukoumades, a deep-friend dough similar to a cinnamon roll.
Feta Mediterranean Cuisine is currently open from Tuesday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (10 p.m. on Friday), and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.
