Detectives with the Ocala Police Department believe they have identified three men accused of recently ripping off high-dollar items from an Ocala Wal-Mart.
A detective obtained warrants for the arrests of 37-year-old John Allen Napoli, 37-year-old Timothy Matthew Gordon and 53-year-old Marvin Eugene Copper Jr. The identity of a fourth person involved in the June 5 heist at the store, located at 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd., still is being sought.
The three men and their accomplice are accused of entering the store and selecting multiple items, including a lawn mower, a generator and a gun safe. They staged the items in the outside garden area and after the store closed early due to COVID-19 restrictions, they cut a hole in the fence and removed the items, a police report states.
Police also are searching for a white Ford F-150 pickup truck with tag number ZB1QT3. They believe it was driven by Copper. Anyone with information about the crime or the suspects is asked to contact Detective Coughlin at (352) 369-7000.
