Master the Possibilities Lifelong Learning Center offering ‘Ageless Adventures’ classes

Master the Possibilities Lifelong Learning Center will present classes for families from July 12-16 for a week-long program titled Ageless Adventures.  Conveniently located in Circle Square Commons at 8415 SW 80th St. in Ocala, the program is intended for parents and grandparents to participate in a course with a youthful partner.

Registration is ongoing for these courses and the events take place during the week of July 12. An adult registration is required to accompany a child to class.

Courses offered within the program are listed below. The price of each class ranges from free to $20 per person, depending on the class. All supplies are included for these courses.

  • July 12 – Take a virtual tour of our oceans and seas and discover animals that build underwater cities, that are never seen because they live in the deep, dark ocean. Participants also have an opportunity to transform seashells with acrylic paints into keepsakes and paint friendship rocks of all themes and designs.
  • July 13 – Students can learn about a variety of insects at Bug Camp, learn about the Solar System with fun facts about the Earth, Sun, and Universe, as well as creating a dance routine to a popular song.
  • July 14 – Do you want to learn about drones? Come and learn how drones fly. Then go outside and play! Partner activities will use beanbags, balloons and hula-hoops for good old-fashioned games and serious smiles. Ever wonder what was colonial America like? Martha Washington, wife of the first president of the United States. She’ll help you see what life was like for children in the 1700s.
  • July 15 – Take an in-depth look at unique adaptations that help animals survive and then join us on a discussion about ice cream followed by a scoop of your choice to enjoy.
  • July 16 – Participants can have an opportunity to meet cows and learn about cattle ranching, create snow or a mosaic steppingstone making your own design out of glass shapes. Master the Possibilities will also have a free family movie showing at 3 p.m. featuring “Monster’s Inc.”  All ages are welcome and the movie is rated G.

The program is open to the public. An adult may bring more than one child to class, but a registration must be completed for each participant.
