Donate clothing, hygiene products, food to Interfaith Emergency Services and help Ocala’s homeless

Interfaith Emergency Services can never receive too many donations from local businesses and residents.

The organization, which maintains a food pantry, clothing closet, homeless shelter and Food 4 Kids program, among other services, has provided emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis for nearly 40 years.

Located in the heart of Ocala at 435 NW 2nd Street, the organization credits its success to the support of local churches, businesses, organizations and individuals who are committed to helping those in need.

Earlier this year, Meadowbrook Church donated 721 pounds of food, with hopes to donate more soon, according to a social media post.

Grace Episcopal Church of Ocala donated a collection of towels for the organization’s shower ministry, which helps establish regular showers for those without regular access to bathroom facilities and hygiene products.

Earlier this year, the organization was denied by the Ocala City Council in its request to turn its outdoor area into a temporary emergency shelter.
