To the Editor:
My wife and I moved to Ocala after a co-worker told me of a place in Florida called Ocala where her grandfather owns a home. I was ready for retirement after 31 years as a school safety agent for the New York City Police Department. We came to check out some places to live and my wife fell in live with Ocala’s country feel. Coming from the Bronx, we were in the country. Three years we live here now, and we notice the divide of the political community occurring from the previous election, as well as the staunch one sided stance of some. It is disturbing, at best offensive. We could never dream that a place so beautiful and, for the most part, with friendly people, allows offensive and vulgar signage to be displayed.
