Marion County rescinds boil water notice

Marion County officials have rescinded a boil water notice issued earlier this week.

The county made the announcement via press release earlier today, after issuing the boil water notice on the evening of Monday, July 12.

“The precautionary boil water notice has been rescinded and is no longer in effect,” reads the release.

According to the release, a bacteriological survey was completed and shows that the facility’s water is safe to drink.

The following communities are impacted:

– Spruce Creek North
– Woods & Meadows East
– Oakcrest Estates
– Emerald Point
– Sandy Pines
– Cherrywood
– Forest Glen
– Whispering Pines
– Ocala Waterways Estates
– Marco Polo
– Kingsland Country Estates

Ocala officials recently acquired an additional water tower in the southwest portion of the city in hopes of improving water pressure across the area.
