The Florida Pizza Shop will celebrate its one-year anniversary this fall at its location along Baseline Road.
The restaurant opened its doors at 8721 SE 58th Avenue (Baseline Road) #5 in October 2020.
The owners, David and Jodi Alexander, opened the restaurant to bring New York City style pizza to Ocala, Florida.
The restaurant features an extensive list of specialty pizzas, including sweet chili chicken pizza, taco pizza, and cheese steak and onion pizza, to name a few.
In addition to a wide variety of pizzas, the restaurant offers pasta, calzones, strombolis, salads and subs.
According to its website, the business is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
