Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a suspect in Micanopy who is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
On Thursday, the deputies responded to the 10000 block of NW 215th Lane Road in Micanopy in reference to a domestic disturbance. After deputies arrived, a man pulled out a firearm and began shooting at them. The man is believed to be Daniel Robbins (pictured below).
None of the deputies were injured.
According to MCSO, the suspect is believed to be hiding within his residence or in the woods in the surrounding area. He might be armed with multiple firearms, and there is the possibility that he may be naked and in the nearby woods.
If you see a man resembling Robbins, or a person in the area of NW 215th Lane Road who is nude, carrying firearms, or otherwise acting in a suspicious manner, please call 911 immediately to report his whereabouts. Do not approach him.
