Annual “Night of Hope” event returns next week to honor victims, survivors of domestic violence

The Marion County Children’s Alliance Family Violence Prevention Workgroup will host its annual “Night of Hope” event next week to honor the victims and survivors of domestic violence.

This year’s event will take place on Thursday, September 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the College of Central Florida, which is located at 3001 SW College Road in Ocala.

Tickets are available and cost $35 per person. Those in attendance will be served dinner, and the event will also include music, giveaways, vendors, and survivor testimonies.

The event will feature a keynote speaker: Tahiera Monique Brown. In addition to being a professional speaker, she is also a survivor, writer, filmmaker, and the President and CEO of Darkness to Light Films.
