MCSO looking for two men suspected of burglarizing vehicles in Dunnellon

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is turning to the public to help identify two men who are suspected of burglarizing several vehicles in Dunnellon.

On Monday, November 21, at approximately 3 a.m., an MCSO deputy responded to SW Bluegill Road in Dunnellon due to reports of a vehicle burglary in the area, according to a social media post from the sheriff’s office.

MCSO stated that a cellphone was stolen from the victim’s vehicle, and a backpack was left behind at the scene. Inside the backpack, the deputy found a large amount of cash and several wallets.

The deputy discovered that the recovered items from the backpack had been stolen from other vehicles in the Rainbow Lakes Estates neighborhood, and it was concluded that a total of three vehicles had been burglarized, according to MCSO.

During the burglary investigation, an MCSO Property Crimes detective was able to obtain photos of two men who were inside the Circle K at the intersection of Rainbow Lakes Boulevard and Highway 41, at the front of Rainbow Lakes Estates. According to MCSO, the two male suspects (pictured below) used a victim’s credit card to make a purchase at the convenience store.
