Belleview police arrest Hardee’s employee for fraudulently using customer’s debit card

The Belleview Police Department arrested an 18-year-old Hardee’s employee after he was accused of fraudulently using a customer’s debit card.

On Thursday, March 23, a BPD officer received a report from a victim who suspected that their debit card information had been obtained and used after purchasing food at the Hardee’s in Belleview the previous day.

According to BPD, the officer investigated the incident and reviewed video surveillance footage from the Hardee’s fast-food restaurant. A male employee, identified as Eryk Joshua, was observed on the footage using his cellphone to take pictures of the victim’s debit card.

On Monday, April 3, Joshua was located and arrested. He informed the officer that he has photographed numerous customers’ debit and credit cards, according to BPD.

Joshua was transported to Marion County Jail, and he was later released on $2,000 bond. He is facing a felony charge for fraudulent use of personal identification.

A court date has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
