Storm damage, flooding causes additional park closures in Ocala

The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department has announced multiple park closures, effective immediately, due to damage and flooding that was caused by this week’s severe weather.

The following parks in Ocala will remain closed until further notice:

  • Lillian F. Bryant Park (2200 NW 17th Place).
  • Scott Springs Park (2825 SW 24th Avenue).
  • Toms Park (2245 N Magnolia Avenue).
  • Tuscawilla Park (500 NE Sanchez Avenue).
  • Fisher Park (900 SE 22nd Street).
  • S. Stanley Malever Nature Park (1600 SE 30th Avenue).

Park closures and hours of operation are subject to change as weather conditions change.

Earlier today, the City of Ocala also announced that Letty Towles Dog Park (2299 SE 32nd Avenue) will be closed for one week due to flood damage and environmental concerns.
