Tuscawilla Park reopens to public after storm damage

The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department has announced that Tuscawilla Park is now open to the public following the damage that was sustained during last week’s severe weather.

Tuscawilla Park (500 NE Sanchez Avenue) is open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Multiple parks throughout Ocala, including Tuscawilla Park, were temporarily closed last week due to flooding and damage from storms that impacted the area.

Earlier this week, the recreation and parks department announced the reopening of Lillian F. Bryant Park (2200 NW 17th Place), S. Stanley Malever Nature Park (1600 SE 30th Avenue), Scott Springs Park (2825 SW 24th Avenue), and Toms Park (2245 N Magnolia Avenue).

In addition, Letty Towles Dog Park (2299 SE 32nd Avenue) is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 30.
