Learn how to play pickleball at Coehadjoe Park

The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an event this week that will teach the fundamentals of pickleball, a popular sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

On Thursday, July 6, the parks and recreation department’s “Dink and Learn” pickleball program will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Coehadjoe Park, which is located at 4225 NE 35th Street in Ocala.

During this hands-on event, participants will learn the finer points of pickleball from experienced players. Participants will then step onto the court to put their newly minted skills to the test.

Equipment will be provided to participants while supplies last.
