Multiple back-to-school events will take place this week in Ocala, offering free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and other goodies in anticipation of the beginning of the school year.
Marion Oaks Assembly of God’s “Back to School Family Fun Night”
On Friday, August 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Marion Oaks Assembly of God will host its Back to School Family Fun Night at 13977 SW 32nd Terrace Road in Ocala.
The event will offer free haircuts, snow cones, and inflatable games. Additionally, free hygiene supplies will be provided, including tooth paste, shampoo, and body wash, among others.

Marion Oaks Community Center’s “Back to School Bash”
On Friday, August 4, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Marion Oaks Community Center will host its Back to School Bash at 294 Marion Oaks Lane in Ocala.
The event will feature a free splash pad, games, and a dance party. Bounce house and water slide wristbands will be available for a fee. Food trucks and youth-related vendors will be also be on site.

Living is Giving Ministry’s “Back to School Backpack Giveaway”
On Saturday, August 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Living is Giving Ministry will host its Back to School Backpack Giveaway at 801 SW 27th Avenue in Ocala.
During the event, backpacks filled with school supplies will be handed out while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Ocala Mall’s “Back to School Bash”
On Saturday, August 5, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Ocala Mall will host its Back to School Bash at 3711 Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala.
The event will offer free backpacks filled with school supplies, and there will be free hair cuts for children. Food will be distributed throughout the event, and vendors from the Ocala Mall will also be on site.

On Saturday, August 5, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Cross Point Ocala will host its Back to School Bash at 5494 SW 50th Court in Ocala.
