Want to quit smoking? ‘Tobacco Free’ program returns to Belleview Community Center.

A free program is returning to the Belleview Community Center early next week to offer assistance to adults who want to quit smoking.

On Monday, August 7, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Suwannee River Area Health Education Center will bring its “Tobacco Free” program to the Belleview Community Center located at 5615 SE 110th Place in Belleview.

This program is open to adults who want to quit their tobacco use and habits. The two-hour class will cover multiple topics that include helping patients quit, motivational interviewing, brief interventions, and referring tobacco users to additional Florida services as needed.

While there is no cost to attend the class, pre-registration is required.

For more information, or to reserve a spot in the class, contact Monique Bessette (Tobacco Treatment Coordinator) at 386-362–1551, ext. 101.
