Flag Football League returning for second season, registration now open

The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department’s weekly Lit Flag Football League is returning next month for a second season, and registration is now open.

The highly competitive adult flag football league features 7-on-7 games that are played on Wednesday nights, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., underneath the stadium lights at the Brick City Adventure Park football field.

The parks and recreation department states that the flag football league is “super fun” and “a great way to break up the monotony of the work week.”

This season’s preseason games will kick off on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, and the regular season will run from November 1, 2023, through February 10, 2024.

At the end of the regular season, teams will take part in a tournament that culminates in a Super Bowl.

Registration is currently open for solo players and established teams, with a maximum limit of 15 players per team. The cost is $600 per team ($40/person on a full roster).

To be eligible for the upcoming season, all teams must be paid and registered by November 8, 2023. All players must be 18 years of age or older.
