Pie-O-Mine permanently closes Ocala location

Located at 4414 SW College Road, Suite #316, within the Market Street at Heath Brook shopping center, the restaurant confirmed its closure online in recent days.

“We have closed for good and we would like to thank all our loyal customers,” reads a statement from the restaurant posted on Google on October 25.

In 2019, Ocala-News.com wrote about the pizzeria and salad bar and cited locations in “New York and Ohio.”

The location in Woodmere, Ohio, has permanently closed since the publication of that story. Social media posts and online reviews suggest the location went out of business over the summer.

According to the company’s website, Pie-O-Mine & Greens was part of a collection of New York-based restaurants that include Johnny C’s Caterers and Dande Farms. The website currently lists three locations across the state of New York, with no mention of other locations.

The chain bills itself as a “quick service, personal style, artisan pizzeria and freshly chopped, personally customized salad bar.”

Customers may choose from over eight sauces, nearly a dozen cheeses, and over two dozen vegetable and meat toppings. Toppings can also be used for salads.

Pie-O-Mine’s closure in Ocala joins several other recent closures by restaurants and businesses in the area.

That includes The Corkscrew Winery & Brewery, which closed its location in downtown Ocala. An email to the company’s main account to confirm its closure has not yet been responded to as of the publication of this story.

The closure of Corkscrew comes just a few months after a similar business, The Keep Downtown, permanently closed its location nearby.
