John Wilson, 69 of Reddick, Fla, crossed over on October 30, 2023.
He was born in Gainesville on June 21,1954 to Herbert and Mary Wilson. He graduated from Santa Fe High School and Santa Fe Community College with a BA degree.
John worked as a surgical technologist at UF- Shands for 30-plus years and traveled for 14 years as a tech.
John is survived by Brother Tom Wilson, Jill Wilson his wife, Nancy Wilson -Bland his sister, Carol Wilson- Bland her wife, Paul Heikkila, his longtime friend and Brent Heikkila his husband. Surviving are his niece Freida Wilson and his nephew Stephen Wilson and family.
He is preceded in death by his father Herbert Wilson, his mother Mary Wilson and his brother Wesley Wilson.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 1pm on Nov 11 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Ocala. Donations can be made to the hospice house. (CATES House in Ocala). Flowers be sent to his home at 5929 NW 191 St Lane Road Reddick Fla 32686.
