Ocala firefighters rushed to a local mobile home park on Wednesday morning after receiving reports of a residential structure fire.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m., several Ocala Fire Rescue units were dispatched to Country Town Village located at 2580 SE 1st Avenue. As crews neared the scene, they observed a column of black smoke rising from a mobile home, according to OFR.
In less than five minutes, the first fire truck arrived at the residence, and firefighters saw flames coming out of the windows in the area of the mobile home’s porch and living room.
The mobile home’s occupants had safely exited the residence prior to the arrival of firefighters.
OFR crews quickly sprang into action and utilized several hose lines to attack the flames from multiple sides. The fire was extinguished by 10:43 a.m.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to OFR.
There were no injuries reported.
The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the mobile home on Wednesday morning.
