City to host meeting on Fisher Park flood mitigation project

The City of Ocala will host a neighborhood meeting next week to share information about the Fisher Park flood mitigation project.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 13 at St. John’s Lutheran School, which is located at 1915 SE Lake Weir Avenue in Ocala. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the cafetorium located behind the sanctuary.

According to the city, the proposed project will address flooding within the neighborhood by expanding the current pond and upgrading the current lift stations.
