The City of Ocala’s Community Development Services is hosting a fair housing event this week to provide information about housing protections that are readily available to local residents.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place (1821 NW 21st Ave).
The fair is free and will feature local community organizations as well as several guest speakers, including Lena Hopkins of Community Legal Services, Jimmy Cowan, the Marion County Property Appraiser, Giovanna Benitez of the UF/IFAS Extension, Jeff Hill, from Union Home Mortgage, Beth Nelson and Pebbles Vance of United Way of Marion County, James Haynes on behalf of the City of Ocala, and Ruth Reed, from Neighborhood Citizens of NW Ocala, Inc.
