A Florida company that manufactures and distributes the world’s most popular soft drink brand just opened a new, 27,000-square-foot distribution facility in Ocala.

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at 4800 NW 5th Street in west Ocala on Wednesday, November 6.

The distribution center is situated just north of W Silver Springs Boulevard, near the roadway’s intersection with NW 52nd Avenue.

On Wednesday, Marion County and Ocala officials and local leaders gathered to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

According to Coke Florida, the new facility encompasses 27,000 square feet and will deliver over 4,000,000 cases of products throughout the region.

The distribution center will serve Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties.

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC was founded in 2015 by Troy D. Taylor. The company is recognized as the third largest, privately-owned Coca-Cola bottler in the country.

Currently, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC employs over 5,000 individuals in the state of Florida, including over 100 in the Ocala area.

The opening of the new Coca-Cola distribution center comes just about 7 months after another international soft drink company expanded its operations in Ocala.

Earlier this year, Pepsi celebrated the grand opening of its new distribution facility in southeast Ocala.
