Pepsico Beverages North America has opened a new distribution center in south Ocala that is ten times larger than the previous facility in the city.
Pepsico celebrated its grand opening at 13570 SW 57th Avenue Rd in Ocala last month, within the Florida Crossroads Commerce Park.
Pepsico’s new building is situated just across the road from the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Distribution Centers, which share access to SW 57th Avenue Rd.
For many years, Pepsi Bottling Group has operated out of 525 SW 16th Street in Ocala. According to property records, that property was 24,005 total square feet.
The new building is at least 251,000 square feet in size, according to pre-construction records.
Florida Crossroads Commerce Park is strategically located just two miles from I-75 and, given Ocala’s location in the state, is virtually equidistant to Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. All three cities are within a one to two-hour drive from the park.
