A storage unit facility in southwest Ocala was just purchased for over $8.4 million by a Colorado-based real estate investment firm that specializes in the ownership, operation, and acquisition of self storage properties.

StoreRight Ocala sold its multi-acre property located at 2401 SW 17th Road for $8,480,500 to NSA Property Holdings, LLC, on Thursday, December 19, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.

The facility is situated just south of the Latigo 27 apartment complex and just northeast of the State Road 200 intersection at SW 27th Avenue.

According to corporate records, NSA Property Holdings, LLC, is a subsidiary of the National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSA), which is based in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

The Ocala facility has since been rebranded to iStorage, a company that the real estate trust acquired in 2016 for $630 million.

According to Marion County property records, the 9.07-acre site currently houses six different buildings.

Records show that the property was last sold for $5,850,000 in 2007. Before that, it was sold for $1.9 million in 1995.
