Stretches of State Road 200 will be temporarily closed and there will be alternating lane closures along the roadway this week as construction crews install poles and fill new concrete medians with landscape.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, SR 200 will experience rotating, daytime and overnight lane closures. The rotating northeast-bound and southwest-bound lanes to fill concrete median landscape areas and install underground conduit/pull boxes. Those closures will be in place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The overnight lane closures will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Those closures will be in place as crews work to excavate the median areas, install mast arms, and fashion midblock crossings.
The roadway will also close for approximately 10 to 15 minutes on Monday between MLK Jr. Avenue and U.S. Highway 301, near Marion Technical College (1014 SW 7th Road), in order to install mid-block crossing poles and mast arms.
FDOT is also reporting another similar closure between SW 32nd Avenue and SW 26th Street to make the same installations in the same timeframe.
