An Ocala man who won back-to-back titles at the National Beard Championships in 2023 and 2024 came up just shy of another victory this year, finishing among the top three at the world championships for his lengthy beard.

Mitchell Strycker finished third in his category at the 2025 World Beard & Mustache Championships, which were held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from July 3 to July 5.

Over three dozen categories were considered during the competition, with awards doled out for a variety of mustaches and beards of varying lengths.
