A woman has claimed prizes for two lottery tickets each worth $12,779 that she purchased on the same day at a Winn Dixie in Marion County and a gas station just 20 miles west of the grocery store.

Regina Lynn Johnson, of Astor, was awarded $25,559.34 for two winning tickets that she purchased for the midday Fantasy 5 drawing held on October 29.

Johnson purchased one of the winning tickets at the Winn-Dixie located at 15912 E Highway 40 in Silver Springs. She purchased the other ticket just 20 miles west at an AP Gas & Food station in Pierson.

In total, there were four winning tickets sold for the midday drawing on October 29. The other two tickets were sold at different Publix locations in Miami Beach and St. Augustine.

Lottery records show that Johnson did not purchase “QuickPicks,” meaning she selected her own numbers for each ticket.

The Florida Lottery’s Fantasy 5 game is drawn twice a day: Once in the middle of the day, and once in the evening. Players choose five different numbers from 1 to 36, with prizes ranging from $50,000 to over $100,000. Tickets may be purchased every day until 12:45 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. for the midday and evening drawings, respectively.

The drawings themselves occur every day at 1:05 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.
