“I appreciate the response to my letter to the editor about Winn Dixie food stores. I grew up in Miami and lived there for 33 years. There were many Winn Dixie’s in the city. I’ve been in most of them over that time span. Neighborhood stores that began as Margaret Anne’s, then Quik Chek, then Winn Dixie. When Winn Dixie came into the picture is when things started to go bad. I stand by my comment of dirt and smells. I once bought a muffin in a store in Northwest Miami that had mold on the inside. I don’t doubt that their employees were good people.” – An Ocala resident shares her opinion.
