To the Editor:
While more and more families are moving into Marion Oaks, the number of children have increased and these children have to walk to the Marion Oaks Blvd. to take the school bus.
It is very dangerous because they have to walk very early in the morning on the roads due to the nonexistence of sidewalks.
While the County keeps approving construction, there is no one who cares about the safety of walking people, especially children.
The safety of every person must be priority, however, there is more concern in having bike lines in an area that very few people use them, than having side roads.
It is time that the city and county take responsibility and care more for pedestrians, because placing signs do not work and it is a waste of money that can be used as part of resolving this main security problem.
