To the Editor:

I agree with others who have stated taxes are too high in Marion County, especially for seniors.

I live in an HOA on leased land. It is a very small plot and I am paying $2,300. I lived in Palm Beach County previously and paid less. We had much better infrastructure.

At least we had lights on major roads not darkness like on State Road 200 in southwest Ocala. The meridians were kept nice. In general the area looked a lot better than Marion County.

It is really a shame our tax money doesn’t seem to go for the betterment of our community. We had much more population density but it seems like traffic wasn’t as congested as here either.
