A Florida-based restaurant chain that specializes in Southern-style meals is opening its first location in Ocala at the site of a Bob Evans that recently closed its doors.
Peach Valley Cafe is renovating the site at 3535 SW College Road/State Road 200. Formerly occupied by Bob Evans, which abruptly closed its doors last month, the site was sold just two weeks after the closure.
Marion County property records show that Holm Real Estate LLC purchased the building from National Retail Properties, LP for $2.9 million on January 30.

Founded in Winter Park in 2001, Peach Valley Cafe is operated by Eric Holm, who also owns 18 Golden Corral franchises in Central Florida. Holm started his career as a teenager bussing tables alongside his mother at the original Sonny’s BBQ in Gainesville.
The new location in Ocala will mark the tenth site for the Florida-based breakfast and brunch chain, which has built a loyal following over the past 25 years for its Southern-inspired offerings.
The menu at Peach Valley Cafe features buttermilk biscuits, signature chicken and waffles, housemade apple fritters tossed tableside in cinnamon sugar, and a collection of other dishes.

Over the past 25 years, Holm has expanded Peach Valley Cafe into a staple across Central Florida. Currently, there are Peach Valley Cafe locations in nearby Gainesville and Mount Dora, the latter of which also previously served as a Bob Evans.
Additionally, a new Peach Valley Cafe has been announced for the new Eastport area in The Villages.
