The Bealls Florida in east Ocala is selling all of its merchandise at a discounted rate as part of a liquidation sale preceding its permanent closure in the coming weeks.
Located at 4901 E Silver Springs Blvd within the Six Gun Plaza, the department store is currently scheduled to close at the end of April.

Ocala-News.com first reported the closure of Bealls Florida in Ocala earlier this month.
The business currently has prominent signage announcing that its closure and offering a 10% discount storewide. Furthermore, the store’s interior is filled with various liquidation notices, including signs stating “Nothing Held Back,” “Everything Must Go,” and “Store Closing.”

While the official permanent closure date for the Ocala location is May 1, the store has transitioned into this final sales phase to clear out its remaining inventory.
Outside of east Ocala, Bealls has two other locations in the city that are situated along/near State Road 200.

Founded in 1915 in Bradenton, Florida, Bealls evolved from a local dollar store into a major retailer, launching its department store brand in 1946 and Bealls Outlet in 1987.
Under fourth-generation leadership, the company has recently expanded its national footprint, acquiring Stage Stores in 2020 to secure naming rights across all 50 states and launching new concepts like Rugged Earth Outfitters.

The closure of the Six Gun Plaza location follows a series of shifts in the local retail landscape.
Over the past five years, new additions in and near the plaza include Dutch Bros., Mi Familia Mexican Restaurant, Stoner’s Pizza Joint, More Than Gaming, and Sandy’s Shack Imported Wine and Beer. The plaza is also home to one of Ocala’s most well-known social media influencers, Ocala Mattress Guy.
