A bit of inclement weather has led to a temporary closure of a Wawa in Marion County due to a power outage, debris scattered across multiple roads, and some congestion along Interstate 75.
According to the National Weather Service, the city saw sustained wind speeds of over 30 miles per hour this afternoon, including gusts that reached nearly 45 mph.
The NWS reports that approximately .32 inches of rain fell between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. today. In total, this year the city has recorded approximately 1.5 inches of rain.
As of 4:30 p.m., the Wawa gas station located at 5726 SE Abshier Boulevard in Belleview is closed due to a power outage.
A motorist driving along County Road 475A in southern Marion County reported seeing debris scattered on parts of the roadway, near its intersection with County Road 484.
A multi-mile stretch of northbound Interstate 75 in Marion County is currently experiencing congestion near mile marker 356 due to a crash and inclement weather. Traffic is proceeding slowly on the highway just north of Ocala.

On Sunday evening, Marion County Fire Rescue units responded to a lightning strike that sparked a fire at a home in southwest Ocala.
