President Donald Trump’s planned visit to The Villages this week will bring the Commander in Chief closer to Marion County than he has been since 2020, when he held a campaign rally at the Ocala International Airport.
While little information has been released, doors open at 11 a.m. and the event is scheduled for 3 p.m. Each registrant may only register up to one ticket per mobile number per event. All tickets are subject to first come first serve basis, according to a portal maintained by the president’s team.
The visit on Friday will mark Trump’s third visit to The Villages. The president appeared in The Villages during his first term at an event at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center.
En route to that engagement, the president stopped at the Ocala International Airport and briefly addressed local residents and media personnel on the tarmac.
President Trump returned to Ocala for a large campaign rally in early October 2020. That event, which was held at the Ocala International Airport, was attended by thousands of individuals. Multiple local politicians took the stage during that engagement.

Days after that visit, the president held another campaign rally in The Villages.
This past Saturday night, Trump was set to appear for the first time as president at the White House Correspondents dinner. That event was abruptly ended after shots were fired and a suspect was apprehended in what has widely been interpreted as an assassination attempt aimed at Trump and members of his cabinet.
