Local Democrat organizations are gathering on Saturday for a “Stop The Clown & End The Show” protest in downtown Ocala, just over a week after the president flew through Ocala International Airport en route to The Villages.
The protest will be held at the Ocala Historic Downtown Square (1 SE Broadway Street) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 9. The demonstration is being organized by Ocala For Democracy, the Ocala Blue Dots, and Central Florida Peace and Justice.
The move comes just over a week after President Trump spoke at an event in The Villages. In the days leading up to that visit, several vehicles that comprise the presidential motorcade were seen at the Ocala International Airport.
Saturday’s protest is one of several that the aforementioned organizations have arranged this year. That includes the most recent protest on March 28, as well as previous demonstrations held on January 17 and January 25.
