FedEx’s freight division just acquired a nearly 10-acre distribution facility in southwest Ocala for over $6 million.
FedEx Freight Inc. purchased the property from Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. on Monday, May 18, for $6,255,000, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.

Located at 1702 SW 42nd Avenue, the property was sold by North Carolina-based logistics provider Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. in a transaction facilitated by transportation real estate brokerage firm Burr & Temkin.
The site features a 17,550-square-foot facility optimized for high-throughput freight operations. The facility contains a 14,350-square-foot cross-dock platform with 41 active loading doors designed to maximize logistical efficiency.

The layout also includes a 3,200-square-foot administrative office area with an asphalt-paved, fully fenced, and illuminated secure yard engineered to support heavy truck staging.
Furthermore, the site’s M-1 Light Industrial zoning accommodates diverse transportation and supply chain configurations.
The facility is situated within the Marion County Commerce Center, approximately one mile from the Interstate 75 and State Road 40 interchange and about two miles from Exit 350 on the highway.

FedEx already maintains a significant industrial footprint in Marion County, with multiple local hubs supporting its regional distribution networks.
That includes a large distribution center at 3100 NW 35th Avenue Road.
